20th July 2013

As I type this we are back at the C&CC site at Thetford Forest having a well earned rest after the tour round of the past few days. We have been places as exotic as Barnet, Ware, Hertford Heath and Bishop's Stortford visiting friends and family, had a lovely time.

Nothing much motorhome related to tell you about this time except our trials and tribulations of trying to park in Ware (thats Hertfordshire). We lived here for about 23 years but have got used to the quieter roads and slower pace of life in Norfolk. Traffic everywhere in the town and nowhere to park. I phoned East Herts Council to ask about taking up more than one space in one of their car parks. Apparently this is only allowed in one car park and  we still had to give our registration number etc. When we got to the car park we were supposed to use we found they were all single / individual spaces with nothing suitable for us.

Couple of 'different' outfits spotted at C&CC site Hertford before we left:

Fancy sleeping on your car roof? Not a bad idea I suppose

River Lea in Ware

Ware Priory

Ware High Street. Doesn't look too bad in this photo but
all the streets seemed chock a block to us.

This is Lesley and Malcolms dog Belle. Obviously no
worries about burglars in this house!

Cold wet nose and a straggly coat. But thats enough
about Lynda....

Expensive visit to Pearce's Farm Shop on the A10

Coach and Horses pub Bishop's Stortford. Very nice lunch.
