They very kindly invited us all to go along and have a tour of their latest motorhome, all built entirely by the very clever Arthur. I thought it was a bit rude to take photos of the inside of their van but I can tell you it is quite amazing and almost all built from scratch.
There are thousands of vans at Newbury, none as good as this one....
All built on a brand new chassis.
We didn't come away from Newbury shops empty handed yesterday. We usually like to have a cream tea at some stage on these weekends, this time we made our own using ingredients bought at Newbury.
Luckily the sun was shining and we could sit outside all afternoon enjoying delicious scones, clotted cream, strawberry jam and strawberries, all washed down with a couple of bottles of Cava - superb.
Several similar photos here - its difficult to get
the children to behave themselves!
The gentlemen discussing weighty topics over brandy and cigars....
Only one more evening of entertainment alas. First up was a young lady by the name of Vicky Lambert and her Dusty Springfield act. We have seen her before and enjoyed her singing lots of hits by Dusty, Cilla, Sandy and others. She did quite a few of her songs while walking among the audience which was a nice touch.
One of our very favourite bands at these events is The Ivy League and they were on next. It seems they do the same act in every show, including the jokes. We felt a bit short changed because they were only on for an hour and the show was finished all too soon.
Vicky Lambert, she can sing and she has a campsite too!

The Ivy League. They are retiring and its a shame this will probably be the
last time we see them.
22nd May.
Quite a few campers left yesterday and there are some large gaps in the Motorhome Fun camping field. Unfortunately I have to go to 'work' tonight so we couldn't hang about like our lucky friends. We left Newbury at about 10.00 and after a very leisurely drive got back to Norfolk at about 14.00. Really warm today, 23 degrees according to Lynda, so we had a couple of hours sitting in the sunshire before I had to get myself ready.
Wonderful weekend once again, made all the better by the company of Paul and Jeannette and Paul and Barb.
Oh, I have just noticed - this is the 250th blog post!
