24th June 2017 - Nozay

24th June.

We had to leave Josselin aire quite early, about 08.30. Why early? - because we decided there was going to be some kind of market in the car park and Lynda was worried that might get blocked in and not be able to leave.

Numbers and various lines had been sprayed on the grass next to where we were parked so something was certainly going on. Good thing we were on the road quite early because we had quite a long drive to our next stop, the aire at Nozay about 85 miles away. As we had had quite an early start we stopped at some services quite soon for coffee and pastries.

We noticed that the garage sold gas (gpl) so we thought we might as well fill up. This being a motorway type place prices were quite high and I was surprised it cost 12.82 euros to fill with gas.

Once refreshed we carried on with our drive to Nozay. Really easy journey as almost the whole trip was on toll free dual carriageway roads. We found the Nozay aire straight away, didn't mind paying the 8 euro charge at the machine. For this you get parking, water and 16 amp electricity.

Just to the rear of the parking area was one of several large lakes. This one was busy with skiers having fun. We went to the large cafe and had cold drinks while we watched people getting very wet.

Once watered we crossed the road and walked round several more lakes, much quieter over here.
We did our usual for most of the rest of the time, just sat and chatted in the sunshine, very nice.

Nozay aire, new service point being installed
but we could still get water etc.

The book says 5 euros charge per night but we
didn't begrudge the 8 euros it actually cost.

Skiing on the lake. There was a long queue otherwise I
would have had a go of course.

One of Lynda's photos, downright pornographic
if you ask me.

Paul and I queueing up for our turn skiing.

At the café, pleasant staff could speak some English too.

We thought we had ordered an ice cream for Lynda but she got
a rather dry waffle with sugar on top.

One of the quieter lakes across the road.

Excitement reaches fever pitch in the draughts match....
