3rd April 2019 - Nice Site, Shame About The Weather

1st April.

Everyone loves a bargain, especially me, and I was pleased our pitch at Breydon Water campsite near Great Yarmouth cost only £68 for our 10 night stay.

We are on pitch 56, which is a very large pitch on the edge of the camping field. There are quite a few motorhomes and caravans here but its been really quiet all the time which we like.

Nice sunny day today and just about warm enough to sit outside for a few minutes soaking up some rays.

Just a quick walk up to Burgh Castle today.

2nd April.

Quite a nice day so, after a quiet night we went for a look around. We have been to this site several times now so we knew where to find everything.

View of site from our pitch.

Facilities block, nice and clean and modern inside.

Probably really useful when kids are on site, they can kick a ball about
all they want without disturbing anyone.

No one in the kid's playground so good time to take a photo.

Reception building.

Their main aim here is get people to part with thousands of pounds
for holiday homes. This is just a small selection.

The other village about a 10 minute walk from our pitch. No camping here though.

Having a go at table tennis, Lynda likes to do silly things with her photos.

3rd April.

Horrible day weather wise today, raining quite hard and pretty cold. After breakfast we had a drive to Simpson's to book Ruby in for a service etc. We are more than a little previous as it won't be till the end of September.

While there the plan was to have a look round some of the new and used motorhomes they have here, there were a lot. Unfortunately nearly all the vans were locked up and it was still raining and cold so we gave it a miss.

Back at Bure Village, Lynda went for a swim in the indoor pool, water was very warm I am told. Despite plenty of signs saying 'no photographs' Lynda asked the lifeguard if we could have a quick snap -she was the only one in the pool at the time.

We were disappointed to be told we would have to pay £2 to have a go at table tennis, we were not charged on the other two occasions so we will have to find out if this is right.

.

After lunch we went for a walk down by the river, until the rain started again.

Bit of a stop press now. After a day of rain and gloom the sun has put in an appearance. We went for a pleasant evening walk.
