According to the satnav its only 66 miles to our next stop at Le Bourget Du Lac, which we last visited in July 2012. First half of the trip was a real nightmare drive, umpteen twists and turns. We were glad to eventually get on the toll motorway - €8.80 well spent.
We stopped at the motorway services to sort out the grey waste.
Lynda was intrigued to see water being sprayed at the drain area.
After the earlier problems with having to turn round etc we found the aire easily and got settled in. The aire is right next door to a municipal campsite and our €13.50 per night fee means we can use their facilities too.
First, Lynda took all our towels etc to the site laundry to wash and dry them. Then we walked over to their snack bar for a beer (me) and a snake-eye cocktail (Lynda). We wanted a pizza but they don't serve food for about an hour at 18.45.
We thought this would be a good time to explore the site so we set off.
Our pitch on the pleasant aire.
On the right, Lynda's cocktail.
Very windy today, hence the waves.
Walking on the site's lakeside beach.
Large pizza and 2 beers - €18.50, very nice.
6th September.
We have had showers on the site and I collected the croissant and baguette for breakfast that we ordered yesterday.
Lovely Swiss t-shirt Lynda bought me for our anniversary -
43 years on 4th September!
