Still not the best sort of day weatherwise but we thought we would have a stroll up to the beach as the wind and sea have calmed down. When we first arrived here the waves were tiny and the beach was just sand.
Just goes to show what the wind and waves have been like - its now a beach covered with pebbles!
Just for a change we turned left at the site gates.
Beach used to be just sand, now covered in stones and pebbles
thanks to the big seas.
Why a photo of an orange? Belgian chap across the way has brought us 3 lots so far.
We thought we would have an evening stroll round the site, its quite small compared to some.
26th January.
Couple of photos of where the new bungalows are, looks good actually.
26th January.
We got the 09.45 bus to Denia today, what's so different about that I hear you ask?
Well, today we booked tickets for a 50 minute boat trip round the bay. According to the pleasant, English speaking, girl who sold us the tickets our very smart catamaran can take a maximum of 124 passengers.
Guess how many were actually on the boat for the trip - 2, me and Lynda!
Not only did we consider the 3 man crew to be 'our' crew but we were even more impressed when they unfurled the large sails and we relied on wind power alone for a while. Altogether a fantastic trip, is this what millionaires feel like?
Waiting patiently for the 09.45 bus to Denia.
What? We are going on this boat?
Lynda took a photo of the crew.
We were going at a fair old speed, all down to wind power.
Brave crew rowing a boat.
Lynda treated us to coffee and pastries after our boat trip.
Would you believe change out of 8 euros for all this lot.
It was really warm for a while when we got back to Ruby.
We could sit and sunbathe - not bad for January!
We had a portion of chips each....
Nice boating pictures. Where is the Belgian guy growing them oranges???
ReplyDeleteI don't know where he gets the oranges. Maybe he has the Spanish equivalent of an allotment?
ReplyDeleteWe do see oranges growing all over the place. Been a lovely day today, mostly spent sitting in the sun!
Glad that you are finally seeing some sunshine and enjoying your exploits. We remain very envious but our timelines just didn't allow us to follow you this time. How is the habitation door lock holding out? Safe travels, Carl & Lina
ReplyDeleteHi Paul and Lynda, Nice to see that you are finally experiencing good weather. Weather in S.W England remains cold and wet, very envious of your trip but we just could not afford the time, will definitely be in Spain later this year. safe travels. Carl & Lina
ReplyDeleteHi Carl and Lina
ReplyDeleteYesterday was great, we sat in the sun most 0f the day until it started to get slightly chilly at about 16.30.
Have fun in Devon.
Take care.
